Our client in Shelby, MI, reached out to us to transform their landscape for an elevated curb appeal. They wanted a cohesive landscape design that complemented their home while bringing visually striking elements. So, we got to work making it happen! We used varying small plants, shrubs, and trees to create depth and add pops of different colors throughout, strategically placing them to ensure a purposeful, complementary look. We also built small retaining walls to further define and hold some of the landscape beds in place, cultivating a striking, dimensional aesthetic. Finally, we finished this project by laying rock ground covering throughout the beds, with the light color making the various plants stand out even more.

For this landscaping transformation project, our client wanted to create a purposeful design that blends different colors and elements for an eye-catching look. So, our team incorporated various types of little plants, shrubs, and trees into their landscape. Small retaining walls were built to hold some of the landscape beds in place.

Another aspect of this project was to add small retaining walls to some of the landscape beds, which we built from durable concrete blocks. We installed these walls along the far left bed, around those that line the outside of the walkway, and around a tree in our client's lawn. Not only do they define their shape and give the landscape more depth and dimension, but they also hold these beds in place to ensure their structural integrity and reduce soil erosion.

The last step of this landscaping project was to install rock ground covering throughout the beds. We used light-colored rocks to add contrast to the landscape beds and make the plants stand out even more. This ground cover was spread evenly across them, and we ensured the proper thickness for optimal results. The rocks serve as the finishing touch, giving the beds a sleek, upgraded aesthetic.
