Mosquitoes are some of the most annoying insects to deal with. They take over your property and can make it difficult to enjoy gatherings with friends and family outdoors. Even worse, mosquitoes are responsible for transmitting diseases to humans and pets each year. Sometimes it seems like no matter how much swatting you do or repellent you wear, it's still difficult to keep mosquitoes under control.
Professional mosquito control programs are the most effective solution to prevent these pests from invading your property and protect your family from mosquito bites. We have constructed a list of the most common questions that we receive from our clients about our mosquito control program. These questions include, "why are mosquitoes so hard to control without preventative treatment," "how long do the treatments last," "when will we notice a drop in the mosquito population," and more.
Why are mosquitoes so hard to control without preventative treatment?
Mosquitoes make it difficult to enjoy your time outdoors. When warmer months are at their peak, it may feel like all the mosquitoes in the world are on your property. That's because these insects multiply quickly, so it is hard to control them. If you have a property with an outdoor pool or water feature, then you may be drawing them near even more. Mosquitoes thrive in warm, wet environments. This is why it is so important that we apply our mosquito control treatments during the summer. You've probably noticed how difficult it is to control these pests long-term without preventative treatment.
How do you apply the treatments?
Our technicians will assess your property for hot spots where mosquitoes love to breed, such as birdbaths, ponds, and other areas with standing water. Once we have determined your heaviest mosquito zones, we will then use a backpack fogger to apply our treatment around the perimeter of your home and landscape to create an effective mosquito barrier.
How many times do you visit the property?
We want to offer the most thorough mosquito treatment we can and do not want you to experience a lapse in coverage. With our services, you can expect 4 visits to your property each year from June through October in order to keep the treatment up to date.
How long do the treatments last?
Each treatment is designed to last at least 45 days, so you won't have to worry about mosquitoes for a long time. However, we will visit your home around the 30-35 day range so that there is no break in your property's coverage.
Our treatments aggressively target mosquitoes on your property without hurting your pollinators and grass. We also offer organic treatments for those preferring a more natural approach!
Do the treatments kill mosquitoes in all life stages?
Our mosquito treatments do not kill mosquitoes in all life stages. For example, we cannot target mosquito eggs. However, we can take care of larvae and adult mosquitoes. Our insecticide destroys their breeding grounds, so you should not see an increase in mosquitoes on your property.
When should we notice a drop in mosquito population?
Our mosquito control is incredibly effective. You will notice a major difference in the mosquito population on your property within minutes, but you will see at least an 85% improvement within the first 24-48 hours after we have applied treatment.
How soon can I water or use my yard after the treatment is applied?
We know that you want to enjoy your mosquito-free outdoor space as quickly as possible. Our treatments dry within an hour's time! So you can begin watering and using your yard like normal the very same day we apply the treatment.
