First, we'll turn off the main water supply, timers, and controllers. Then, we'll blow out all the remaining water from the lines using compressed air; this is arguably the most important part of our winterization process because anything left over can freeze and cause the pipes to crack, break, and even burst. After that, our team will disconnect and drain the pump. Finally, we'll insulate any above-ground components, like the backflow preventer, to protect them from freeze damage.
